The Area Command Team – Firefighting:
1. Provides oversight to multiple incidents rather than providing direct action on any one incident
2. Manages multiple incident commanders to ensure that the overall objectives are being met, to set priorities among incidents, and to allocate scarce resources between incidents
3. Coordinates conflicting objectives, strategies, priorities, and resource requests between incidents
Composition and Ordering Specifications
1. Discuss logistics for deploying this team, such as working conditions, length of deployment, security, lodging, transportation, and meals, prior to deployment
2. Discuss the number of hours the team can operate and the number of operation days prior to deployment
3. Area Command Teams, Firefighting may be established when incidents are close enough that oversight direction is required
