The Rapid Needs Assessment Team:
1. Collects, analyzes, and reports information to determine requirements for critical resources to support emergency response activities
2. Assesses overall impact of an incident or event and determines immediate response requirements
Composition and Ordering Specifications
1. Discuss logistics for deploying this team, such as working conditions, length of deployment, security, lodging, transportation, and meals, prior to deployment
2. Requestor may order hazard-specific specialists separately, such as utilities, information technology / telecommunications, structural, water, or wastewater specialists
3. Requestor may order Urban Search and Rescue and Structural Collapse Search and Rescue resources as necessary
