Type Description
Type 1An Architect provides architectural, design, and built environment professional support to emergency response and recovery operations. An Architect also: 1. Oversees, inspects, and assesses impacted buildings and makes appropriate recommendations 2. Conducts building performance analysis 3. Supports temporary housing efforts, insurance documentation, local/state funding assistance applications, technical assistance, and education and recovery planning 4. Supports government-sponsored repair and rebuilding programs 5. Supports transitional housing planning and design 6. Advises on affected land policy use to resume business and community operations post-disaster 7. Supports hazard-specific and hazard-mitigation retrofit programs 8. Participates in business and community continuity planning 9. Participates in disaster scenario planning and other community preparedness exercises 10. Supports development of climate mitigation and adaptation strategies
