Type | Description |
Type 1 | The Air Support Group Supervisor: 1. Establishes or transitions into a group under the Operations Section in the Incident Command System (ICS) 2. Supervises and configures the group with units as necessary 3. Coordinates the ground needs of flight crews and their aircraft in conjunction with the Air Operations Branch Director 4. Assists and coordinates with the Air Tactical Group Supervisor to help ensure mission success and crew safety 5. Assists the Air Tactical Group Supervisor and Air Operations Branch Director during in-flight emergencies (IFE) 6. Ensures the availability of and access to adequate aircraft servicing and fuel 7. Accounts for aircrew between missions and provides for crew rest, feeding and billeting needs 8. Coordinates with local airfield managers and fixed base operators (FBO) 9. Reports mission-essential information to the Air Operations Branch Director 10. Coordinates with the Air Tactical Group Supervisor to provide information to the Air Operations Branch Director for the daily situation report |
