Type 1The Technical Specialist: 1. Ensures that data recording and streaming payload is operational preflight, during flight, and post-flight to achieve the mission objectives 2. Communicates safety, hazards, needs, and concerns relating to data gathering and streaming payload to the flight observer 3. Maintains the flow of streamed data to the receiver while the aircraft is in flight 4. Ensures that backup recording payload are operational before launch 5. Checks that data is recorded, creates a backup copy, and forwards the original to designated operations, public information, and planning authorities 6. Documents the chain of custody for information gathered from the aircraft
