Type 1The CNA: 1. Assists in direct patient care 2. Grooming and bathing patients with low mobility 3. Providing patients rooms with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment and bathroom needs 4. Making sure patients have regular meals 5. Turning or adjusting patients in bed to prevent bedsores or other discomforts 6. Exercising patients by helping them walk 7. Documents vital signs, height, weight, input (such as fluid intake) and output (such as elimination or emptying of and measuring nasogastric tubes and catheter collection devices) 8. Reports and records patient conditions and treatments 9. Collects specimens 10. Assists with patient movement and mobility, positioning and transfers under the supervision of nursing staff 11. Performs assigned procedures (such as catheter insertion) for which the Technician has training, knowledge and skills and has received competency verification
