| Type 1 | The FM Human Remains Recovery Team Leader: 1. Oversees, conducts, and directs recovery efforts for human remains at the disaster site 2. Coordinates and plans for adequate personnel and equipment to perform recovery operations at the disaster site 3. Identifies and ensures that all personnel in hazardous areas at the disaster site wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) 4. Provides daily safety briefing to recovery personnel 5. Provides direction and guidance to photographer and documentation specialist for disaster site processing (such as sketches, video, and photographs) 6. Monitors responder personnel’s physical and emotional stress levels and implements stress reduction and rehabilitation measures as necessary if no Safety Officer is onsite 7. Notifies the FM Morgue Processing Unit Leader of the status and pace of the recovery operation 8. Reports directly to the Mass Fatality Management Group Supervisor, or designee |
