| Type 1 | Same as Type 2, PLUS: Performs duties with decedents or within areas exposed to hazardous materials |
| Type 2 | The FM Forensic Photographer: 1. Serves as Lead for Forensic Photography station staff 2. Maintains still photography documentation of recovery sites, medical specimens, personal effects, postmortem examinations, and other medical procedures for diagnostic and legal purposes 3. Coordinates with the Morgue Processing Unit Leader to determine photographic requirements and the equipment (digital) and lighting necessary to capture the desired images 4. Carries out precision processing operations to generate high quality digital images or photographs 5. Ensures the recovery site number and morgue reference number (MRN) appear in every photograph taken 6. Maintains an accurate numbering system for each set of digital images 7. Provides security of each set of digital images 8. Depending on assignment, reports directly to the Morgue Processing Unit Leader (morgue) or the FM Human Remains Recovery Team Leader (field) |
