| Type 2 | The FM Human Remains Transportation Staging Specialist reports directly to the Human Remains Recovery Team Leader and: 1. Directs and assists in the proper documentation of human remains transported from the disaster site to the morgue through a tracking database 2. Locates and requests refrigerated transportation vehicles for storage and transportation of human remains and personal effects 3. Manages inventory of transportation supplies such as body bags 4. Provides a secure staging area 5. Maintains chain of custody 6. Coordinate with law enforcement for escort of remains to the morgue as necessary 7. Identifies suitable cold storage areas for any excess storage needs |
