| Type 3 | The Type 3 Medical Officer is a clinician licensed to independently diagnose and treat a range of health problems and: 1. Works as an independently licensed clinician 2. Promotes health, disease prevention, maintenance of infection control standards and comprehensive health care 3. Provides clinical assessment and treatment 4. Prescribes medications, vaccines and other therapeutic interventions 5. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests 6. Coordinates with local public health personnel, volunteers, vendors and contractors 7.
